Beauty Watch | Omorovicza
Omorovicza’s (pronounced Omoroveetcha – apologies for murdering the language in the videos- we learn something new every day) story begins 2000 years ago where the healing properties of the Thermal waters in Hungarian baths were first discovered.
I have been using the Queen of Hungary Mist for some time now and love it, both as an after cleansing toner and also a setting spray. It has an especially delicate spritz dispenser that ensures that makeup stays in place even after application. The rose fragrance adds a little burst of spring even on a rainy autumn morning. I’ve caught Mr Nomad stealing a spritz or two too! Most of all, I find it’s a great little skin pick me up on long-haul flights.
Thermal Cleansing Balm
No, as much as I would like to say I’ve joined Bear Grylls’s boot camp, this is just me steeping my skin in thermal water and black Hungarian moor mud below. The photos are unretouched to show you the real me and my bare makeup-free skin, freckles, blemishes, blackheads and all. For a closer look and some verbal diarrhoea, there’s also an informal bathroom chat video below.
With eyes closed apply the balm all over your face and gently massage over your eyelids.
Run a damp muslin in warm water and cover your face with it. Let the steam from the cloth open up those pores. Wipe away and repeat until all product is removed. Voila, all traces of makeup gone in a flash.
If you are in your 30s like me, you may have some concerns with maintaining your youth. This cleansing balm has won Harper’s Bazaar’s Best Anti-ageing cleanser and is my girl Adriana Lima‘s go to cleanser. I was very excited to give it a try.
I found it to be rich but very gentle and suitable for blemish prone skin. It is so difficult these days to find an anti-ageing skincare regime that is also suitable for blemish prone skin. Most are far too rich causing breakouts or too harsh and stripping if its primary focus is to target blemishes. This cleanser seems to have found a good balance. It’s a great cleanser for winter months.

Deep Cleansing Mask
I first tried this cleansing mask a few weeks ago (video on my first thoughts below) and was surprised at how smooth the mud felt. It was almost like a gel clay-like texture rather than a thick mud. Only a thin layer was applied and my face did not feel overly stretched once it dried.
Now after numerous applications, I can confidently say that the area around the base of my nose which usually is dotted in blackheads has improved in appearance. My pores are no longer enlarged and my skin looks smoother.
Honestly, It is too early to tell yet if there are any lifting effects on me personally, but it also claims to improve facial contours. What a huge bonus for those who are waving their 20s goodbye!

Stemming from a collection dedicated to calming redness for sensitive skin this lightweight oil-free milky moisturiser is suitable for blemish prone skin. It leaves skin feeling hydrated throughout the day without any shiny residue perfect for those who have oily T-zones. I hardly noticed any product on my face yet experienced lasting hydration which was a much-welcomed conundrum.
