Wandering the streets of London is my favourite all-time past time. Strangely enough, I never get bored of peeking into little Mews Streets in search of that quaint little magical cobble stoned lined nook and to die for foliage, adorning aged, moss-covered red bricks. The little Potter fan in me eagerly hoping, that the next corner will be a Diagon Alley-esque street to spark my imagination.
Hailing originally from a tropical country, where I spent most of my youth, I never managed to brave the colour burgundy thinking it seemed to dull my mood and always gravitated towards vibrant colours; as my colour palette of choice was, and is, very much influenced by the weather. Inspiration however, came from these beautiful creepers that cling to the brick walls of Kynance Mews and it ignited a new found love of this vamp-ish shade of red.
I paired this fluted sleeve turtleneck sweater with my back-to-school Pom Pom Pinafore; added some knee high socks and my favourite walk everywhere in them Gucci Loafers.
Trust me, If you had to get a pair of loafers that can take you from a business lunch to a first dinner date, these are the pair to get! You can bring out the Look-at-Me Louboutins on the second date perhaps *wink*.They also have enveloped my feet on many an airport run and are so versatile which makes for the perfect travel companion when you have limited luggage space and can’t pack your entire shoe-drobe.
A classic Chanel 2.55 added the high and low, designer/high street juxtaposition that I love to dip my toes into.
Finally, I kept my jewellery minimalistic with a vintage rose gold and gold ring.. saying a big Oh Yes!! to mixing metals.
